WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We have two open spots for a male of any voice part, and a male beatboxer. We meet twice a week on Tuesday & (Wednesday or Thursday) evenings for an hour to an hour and a half, and need someone who can commit to that schedule and our performances.
Beyond talent and commitment, we are also looking for someone who will jive well with the group, so when you come to auditions, just be yourself!
HOW WILL THEY WORK?
First, sign-in and we'll take a picture with your name so we can remember you.
Next, we'll introduce ourselves and get to know you before we hear you sing.
Your vocal skill and ability will be tested in 4 portions:
1. Range test - a simple scale, so we can get a sense of your range
2. Hymn sight-reading - four of you will sing together, one on each part
3. Solo - a song of your choice
4. Fight Song - pick one of the four parts (music below) of the BYU Fight Song*
(Optional). Beatboxing - Show us what you've got!
*This does not need to be memorized
